Prologue:
In a time before the worlds were saved by the trio we all know, we now focus on a new trio, who's actions and adventures would set the course for the upcoming tales of Sora and his friends.
In the Land of Departure, three friends study hard to become Keyblade Masters.
Terra, a strong, yet somewhat single-minded young man whose will to become stronger can sometimes blind him from the path of light. His strength makes him a challenging opponent. Ventus, (or Ven) a bright, cheerful young man whose curiosity and tenancy to help others sometimes gets him into trouble. His forte are quick, aerial attacks. Aqua, a brave, intelligent young woman, a mothering figure to Ven and Terra, her sense of light and dark is keen, she never wavers from the light. Her knowledge makes her a powerful magic caster.
Our heroes, training under Master Eraqus, embark on an adventure that will decide the fate of the worlds, rather the balance of light and dark is protected, or if the darkness consumes all...
The day before the Master Qualification Exam, Terra approached his friends, as they gazed at the stars, full of hope and excitement. Terra and Aqua were both qualified to take the exam, in which, upon passing, would become fully fleged Keyblade Masters. They all walked back to their rooms to get a good nights sleep.
In the morning they were infomed that Master Xeanhort would be observing their performance as well as Master Eraqus. Ven stood at the side to watch his friends take the exam, but in the end, the results were a little less than pleasing...
Only Aqua had passed the exam and become a keyblade master.
Shocked at his failure, Terra walked off to be alone, wile Ven rans after him, and Aqua stayed, awaiting instruction from Eraqus.

PART ONE:
One day, in a place called Destiny Islands, a little girl floated ashore, where two young boys found her unconscious. Over the years, these three became the best of friends.
One of the boys was named Sora. Sora was young, immature at times, but he had a strong heart and a sence of justice. The other boy was named Riku. Cool and collected, Riku breezed through life as "Mr. Cool," the strong one, someone who everyone counted on being the best. And the girl was Kairi. She was fragile in a way, cute, however, strong in heart, her will was strong and unyielding, she and Sora had a small spark over time and had their moments, Kairi, the damsel in distress, Sora, her night in shining armor (of course the two's relationship was grinned at by all.)
One day, because of Kairi's appearance on the islands, Riku had an idea, the idea that perhaps there were other worlds out there. And if anyone was to see them all, it would be them. So the three set out to build a raft at a rather strange and foolish attempt to see other worlds. Alas, the day before they were to set sail, a storm came and surrounded the islands. Sora was the first one to arrive at the place where the raft was being kept, in attempt to stop it from being blown out to sea. He spotted Riku up on their special place and ran to meet him. But as he reached him, Riku seemed different, determined to see other worlds, even if it meant surrendering his heart to Darkness...and so he did. Within moments, both Riku and Sora were engulfed in darkness, but sora was saved by a light, and that light was a key, a large key, large enough to use as a sword. And Sora used it for just that. Suddenly, black creatures emerged all around him as he realized that he has to find Kairi. Using this key, he fought his way to the secret place that Kairi must surely be.
When he arrived, Kairi stood facing a door, and as she turned around and uttered Sora's name, it flung open and blew Kairi through Sora, as she disappeared...
Sora attempted to fight one of the large dark creatures attacking the island, as the island itself, fell appart. Soon, Sora, the creatures, and the island were all sucked into a vortex and dissappered.

PART TWO:
When Sora awoke, he was in a strange place he'd never seen before, walking around, he wandered into an Accessory Shop and met a man named Cid. Confused of where he was, he questioned Cid about where he was and what happened to his friends and his home. Cid knew nothing about Sora's island or Riku and Kairi, only that this was Traverse Town, a place were all people who have lost their worlds end up. Cid suggested he search Traverse Town for his friends and so he did. As Sora stumbled about the town, a mysterious man appears and knocks him out. As he comes to, the man and his friend explain themselves. The man's name was Leon, amd his friend, "the great ninja" Yuffie. Leon explained to Sora that the key he has is no ordinary key, it is know as the Keyblade, a legendary weapon with the power to lock and unlock virtually any door, chest, or lock in the universe. The creatures that had attacked Sora are known as the Heartless, creatures born from the darkness in peoples hearts. Heartless are like animals, they act on instinct, and with only one instinct...to kill and steal peoples hearts, and useing the darkness in those hearts to recreate and form more heartless. The heartless have great fear of the keyblade, and thus, will forever persue the Keyblade Master.
Sora told him that he never asked for the Keyblade and questioned why it came to him, only to recieve the responce, "The Keyblade chooses it's master, and it chose you." All of the sudden, heartless began to attack the town in extreme numbers and Sora rushed off as Leon told him to find the leader of this pack of heartless and destroy it.
As Sora attempted to fight the large heartless, he met to strange characters who began to assist him in the fight. After they destroyed the Heartless, they both explained themselves. Donald Duck was one of them, a feisty, short-tempered duck that serves in Disney Castle as the Court Magaican. And Goofy, an easygoing, clumsy knight, Captain of the Guard at Disney Castle. They explained that their king went missing, but left a note, instructing them to find the bearer of this "key" to the survival of mankind and to stick with him no matter what. So they made an agreement: that Sora would go with them as their king instructed, as long as they help him search for his friends Riku, and Kairi.
And so, the three became inseperable, the trio, fought side by side, traveling to many worlds such as Wonderland, the Deep Jungle, Agrabah, the Olympus Coliseum, Neverland, Halloween Town, Monstro the Whale, the 100 Acre Wood, and Atlantica, battleing many heartless and helping each world's inhabitants wile searching for Riku, Kairi, and King Mickey. Leon also told the three to be on the lookout for pages of Ansem's report. Ansem was a man that ruled over Hollow bastion in its glory days, but became infatuated with darness and created the Heartless himself, hence overruning the world and causing it's inhabitants to flee. But Ansem's report could possibly help them find an end to the heartless. As well, as the key bearer, it was Sora's duty to seal the "keyholes" in each world to prevent the heartless from useing them as pathways to the core of the world and destroying it the same way that Sora's island was.

In their search, Sora, Donald, and Goofy finally found Riku, however, when Riku found that Sora had been chosen to weild the Keyblade and that he had been traveling with his two new companions, he became jealous, and dissappeared. Upon th next time they found Riku again, however, he had changed, he acted antagonistic to sora, even aggressive. Riku had accepted darkness into his heart, and began abusing it's powers with the aid of Maleficent, thus the darkness affected his judgment and made him power hungry. Soon, it wasn't even about finding Kairi anymore, it was about haveing the Keyblade for himself and becomeing all powerfull. Eventually he and Maleficent found Kairi, but she was an empty puppet, she had lost her heart, and without it, could not wake up. Soon, Sora, Donald, and Goofy arrived at Hollow Bastion, the place they had been told that Maleficent was keeping Kairi. When they arrived, Riku used his new found power to strengthen his heart, hence drawing the Keyblade to him, telling Sora he was "just the delivery boy." And Donald and Goofy followed Riku, since even though they were Sora's companions, were tied down by theire Kings instructions to follow the Key Bearer.
Eventually, Sora made it inside Hollow Bastion's castle and found Riku, Donald and Goofy. As Riku challenged Sora, almost killing him, Donald and Goofy realized they could not give up their friendship with Sora, and quickly came to his rescue and to defend him against Riku, since he had no weapon. When Riku asked Sora how he could possibly defeat him if he had no weapon, he replied: "I know now I dont need the keyblade, I've got a better weapon, my heart! Though my heart is weak, its not alone, it's grown with each new experience and found a home with all the friends i've made, and if they think of me now and then, if they don't forget me, then our hearts will be one. I dont need a weapon...my friends are my power!" In that moment, he showed his heart's true power, and the keyblade returned to him and Riku fled into the depths of the castle.
When Sora, Donald, and Goofy arrived, they found Kairi and tried to wake her. But Riku appeared and explained that it was impossible. Sora could tell this was not the same Riku, and he came to find that it was Ansem possessing Riku. Ansem, now evil, wanted to open the door to darkness and achieve the ultimate darkness, however, to do so, he must find all seven Princesses of Heart. Which he had done, but what Sora did not know and what Kairi forgot due to amnesia, is that Kairi was the seventh princess. But her power was useless without her heart. And ansem then explained to Sora that when Kairi flew through him when the islands were being attacked, her heart whent inside him, and so it had been all along. Ansem had now obtained his own dark keyblade which could unlock peoples hearts, but Sora fought and stopped him before he could steal Kairi's heart. Sora realized that he couldnt seal the door to darkness unless Kairi's heart was free...so he took up the dark keyblade, and stabbed himself, releasing Kairi's heart and wakeing her up, but causing Sora to dissappear and turn into a heartless. When Sora confronted Kairi, Donald and Goofy, who were now trying to escape, they though him to be a regular heartless, but Kairi could tell it was Sora, and useing her love for him, returned him to his human form.
Sora, Donald, and Goofy now persued Ansem into the heart of darkness and found him in fron of a large door, the door to the ultimate darkness...the heart of all worlds...Kingdom Hearts. As he tried to open it, sor shouted: "You're wrong! I know now, without a doubt, Kingdom Hearts is light!" And when the door opened, light bursted out of it, destroying Ansem. However, where there is even a shimmer of light, there is also darkness, and the darkness inside Kingdom Hearts was about to seep out.
Sora , Donals, and Goofy tried to close the door, but could not do it. Then Riku and King Mickey appeared on the other side of the door and helped them close it fron the inside, and Mickey told sora: "There will always bee a door to the light" They closed the door with Riku and Mickey on the otherside and sealed it. Sora realized Kairi was beggining to drift back to the islands, because now all the worlds were returning to their original state. He wanted to go with her, but realized that he still had to find Riku and King Mickey and could not go back with her. So he said this: "Kairi! Remember what you said before? I'm always with you too, I'll come back to you, I promise!" And she replied: "I know you will!" In an instant, they were separated. Sora, Donald, and Goofy continued on down the long road ahead and spotted the king's dog, Pluto. Who had a message in his mouth with the king's seal on it. The three of them chased him down the road on end, wondering where their next adventure might take them...but Sora knew... "He was the one...who will open the door..."
THE END

As Sora, Donald and Goofy continue on their journey, they come to a place they can lay down and get some rest. Sora layed asleep, restless, he got up and walked around a bit, when a mysterious man walked up and said only this: "Ahead, lies something you need...but to claim it, you must lose something dear to you." Within an instant, the man was gone. As Donald and Goofy woke up, the three continued down the path. Evenyually they came to a strange castle and without though, walked right in. As they talked to eachother, they realized they all shared the same thought: That their friends, Riku and the King were here. Then the mysterious cloaked man appeared once more. Thinking he was a Heartless, the party attempted to attack him, but their magics and spells did not work. Then the man explained that the moment they walked in the castle, they forgot every spell and every abilty they ever knew. He then blew through Sora and sampled his memories, then turned them into a crown-shapped card and gave it to him. He told them that he should use the card to go forth through the door and perhaps find someone "dear to him." The man's last words were "To find is to lose, and to lose is to find.That is the way in Castle Oblivion." He vanished and the party decided that they should proceed deeper into the castle in hopes of finding Riku or King Mickey.
As Sora looked at the card, he thought it seemed familiar, then as he used it to open the door, he waz amazed, suddenly he was in Traverse Town. Jimmeny Cricket (the small cricket that Queen Minnie had sent with Donald and Goofy in the beggining of their adventure) sat in Sora's hood. But he hopped out and explained that where they were isn't the only surprise, but that Donald and Goofy were missing. Suddenly, the cloaked man appeared again and told Sora that they were at the mercy of the cards. He explained that in Castle Oblivion, you need cards to fight, open doors, or even summon comrades. He then gave Sora a deck of cards to use in battle and sent him off. Sora soon discovered leon was there as well, but something was off, he had no clue who he was. Yuffie and Aerith came too, and neither of them knew sora either, but somehow, they all knew his name. After speculating, they discovered that the entire town they were in and the people inside the town are all just representations of Sora's memories, not the real things, that's why they had no idea who he was. But the fact that Sora knew them, somehow allowed his memories to resonate with theirs. After everythig was figured out, Sora left Traverse Town and wound up back in Castle Oblivion on a different floor. The cloaked man appeared as well. Now that Sora had the hang of what he was doing, he gve him a whole set of cards of places from his memories and sent him off. And the three traveled through all of the worlds in Sora's memories, fighting countless Heartless, meeting familiar people, and helping them out as well, getting deeper and deeper into the castle.

As the team explored deep into the castle, Goofy started to recall this being like when they "explored a castle like this one, with contraptions and gizmos.(reffering to Hollow Bastion)" Sora and Donald began to reacall it, but stopped and asked: "That was in a castle?" Donald asked: "What was it called?" Goofy said: Well that's easy, it was...uh...Holler...Holly...Holle...oh...I forgot." Jimmeny decided to check his detailed journal of their travels but was shocked that all of it had been erased. They remembered something that the cloaked man said: "If you continue on the path to unlock your hidden memories, you may no longer be you."
This puzzled them at the time...but they began to wonder... Then suddenly wile exploring more, Sora remembered something from his childhood...Riku and Kairi werent the only friends he had, there was another girl, blonde haired, liked to draw alot, but one day, just left. Sora was surprised that he had forgotten about her this whole time. Then something came to mine... "To find is to lose, and to lose is to find." They then realized that mabey this meant they would reclaim old forgotten memories, but forget other things.
And they were right, as they travelled, they began to forget more and more memories, but Sora remembered more about this girl. At the same time, more of these mysterious figures in black cloaks were appearing to challenge and test Sora, giving him more world cards for his victories. Soon, Sora was able to remember the girl's name...Namine'. Suddenly, Sora felt more ditermined than ever to find her, especially when he learned that she was being kept there. So he began advancing even farther into the castle...until he found someone...Riku. After defeating Ansem before, Riku was returned to his originl self, but for some reason, he was beggining to act up again, challenging Sora, soon it became a competition to save Namine', because both of them were convinced that they had made a promise to protect Namine'. The fighting went on forever, until Sora finally found Namine' and Riku was with her. Riku and Sora began clashing swords, Riku stubbornly trying to keep Namine' to himself. Namine became scared and yelled: "Stop!" And Riku fell to the floor, lifeless. One of the black cloaked figures, Larxene, explained that that was nothing but puppet, a fake Riku, and that Namine' was a witch, with power over peoples memories, and that all the memories of her were a lie.
Angered, Sora fought and defeated Larxene, and afterwords, Namine' confessed what she had done, and Sora forgave her.
This puzzled them at the time...but they began to wonder... Then suddenly wile exploring more, Sora remembered something from his childhood...Riku and Kairi werent the only friends he had, there was another girl, blonde haired, liked to draw alot, but one day, just left. Sora was surprised that he had forgotten about her this whole time. Then something came to mine... "To find is to lose, and to lose is to find." They then realized that mabey this meant they would reclaim old forgotten memories, but forget other things.
And they were right, as they travelled, they began to forget more and more memories, but Sora remembered more about this girl. At the same time, more of these mysterious figures in black cloaks were appearing to challenge and test Sora, giving him more world cards for his victories. Soon, Sora was able to remember the girl's name...Namine'. Suddenly, Sora felt more ditermined than ever to find her, especially when he learned that she was being kept there. So he began advancing even farther into the castle...until he found someone...Riku. After defeating Ansem before, Riku was returned to his originl self, but for some reason, he was beggining to act up again, challenging Sora, soon it became a competition to save Namine', because both of them were convinced that they had made a promise to protect Namine'. The fighting went on forever, until Sora finally found Namine' and Riku was with her. Riku and Sora began clashing swords, Riku stubbornly trying to keep Namine' to himself. Namine became scared and yelled: "Stop!" And Riku fell to the floor, lifeless. Namine' told Sora that she was lonely, and wanted a friend, and when she saw Sora, she just wanted to be his friend, but the people in the black cloaks, known as Organization XIII. forced her to rewright his memories to use him and make him their puppet, since he was the weilder of the Keyblade. Also, they forced her to give the Riku Replica fake memories of her as well. But even though the memories Sora had of her were fake, he would do whatever possible to keep the "promise" he made to protect her. So Sora traveled to where the leader of the Organization (or so he though), Marluxia, was. The Riku replica woke up and realized that it was ok that he is a copy, and that he'd also keep the promise he made. So The replica stayed and looked after Namine' as Sora, Donald and Goofy went in to fight Marluxia. When Marluxia was defeated, the castle was emptied of Org. XIII members and Sora returned to Namine' as the Riku Replica left.

RIKU'S STORY: PART ONE:
In the meantime, wile Sora's story progresses. Riku had drifted to a strange blank place after helping Sora and Mickey seal Kingdom Hearts. A voice awoke him, pushing him to stay asleep, that sleep was safe and secure, free of all worry, trouble and pain. But he could choose to awaken and take the first step toward the truth. Knowing that he couldn't return to this place, Riku boldly stepped forward and found himself in Castle Oblivion.There, he used the card he was given to open a door to a recreation of Hollow Bastion, where he found Maleficent. After tempting him to turn to darkness, he vanquished her and returned to the castle. The mysterious voice then revealed itself to be Ansem. Back from the dark, Ansem wanted to take Riku under his control again. After refusing, Riku attacked Ansem and was overpowered by his darkness. But then, a light came to Riku, the voice of a familiar friend, King Mickey, told Riku that he will always have light on his side. Refusing Ansem again, he was given a card to a new world. Ansem told him to walk through it and afterwords, he would give in to the darkness in his heart, then left. And unfortunately, the Organization members in the castle began to notice.
RIKU'S STORY: PART TWO:
As Riku progressed through the castle, he began to notice the stench of darkness had began to taint his skin once again. The organization saw use in this darkness. And so Vexen appeared and began to combat Riku, suddenly Vexen mentioned that Riku's "fiery reaction" to him produced just the "data" he needed and disappeared. And only a short while later, Riku stood face-to-face with another Riku. The Riku Replica faced Riku and told him that he was created from the data of him created from Vexen's research. Telling him he was more powerful because he didn't fear the darkness. After fighting, he ran off and left the "real thing" alone. In shock, Riku was intimidated by this replica of himself, but not afraid to fight it.
Afterwords, Vexen decides that in order for this "fake Riku" to stand a chance against the real one or Sora, he'd have to remake his heart and fill it with memories that the real Riku has, so they will be completely identical, using Namine's power, thats just what he did. The Riku Replica, then believed he was just as real as the real Riku and that Namine' gave HIM the good-luck charm instead of Sora, making him protective of her.
Soon, Vexen was felled by Sora and the Replica was now under the use of the rest of the organization members at Castle Oblivion. And as the real Riku progressed, he saw it necessary to use the darkness to defeat his foes. Soon Zexion appeared and told Riku that Sora was in the castle and gave Riku a card to their home world, Destiny Islands. With the promise of seeing Sora again, he pressed forward. While there, Zexion reminded him that it was he who destroyed their home. And using illusion, he appeared as Sora, trying to get Riku face the light and be destroyed. But Namine' came to him in a vision and told him to face the light, but do not be afraid of the darkness. Use the light and the dark, then you will have a power unlike any other, and you will never be afraid again. And he did so to see through Zexion's illusion and defeat him.
But now that Riku wields the darkness, Ansem once again has a hold on his heart. Knowing this, he advanced and saw Ansem yet again, but now he can tell something has been off...the smell of darkness in his heart is more foul, this person pretending to be ansem was an impostor. And so he was. He revealed himself to be DiZ, a man who had guided Riku from his awakening here in Castle Oblivion. At this point it is unclear, but you would assume he has helped Riku in order to seek his help with Sora's memories. But first thing's first. Riku has to defeat Ansem, because the true Ansem is still in the darkness of his heart, and after meeting Namine' and being given the choice to simple lock his heart, also forgetting like Sora did, he refused.
It was now time for him to face Ansem alone, and finnish him for good. And with his power, Riku successfully defeated Ansem, but the faint darkness remained, before he could go home, Riku had to see he walked his road to it's end. The Road to Dawn....

PART ONE:
As Sora is put to sleep, the process of recovering his lost memories has begun. Riku has now joined forces with the mysterious DiZ and Namine' to help Sora regain his memory. Sora's story has been put on pause as our focus turns to a new face, a face that maybe doesn't look so new?
When Sora sacrificed himself to save Kairi in his first adventure, he released his heart and fell into darkness.
Kairi's power and love for Sora was able to bring him back, briefly afterwords. But did all of him come back? Or was a part still missing?
As it turns out, when a Heartless steals a persons heart, the darkness culminates around it and becomes a new Heartless, but what no one knew up to now is that if the body of that person is strong enough, it doesn't fade away, but rather begins acting of it's own will. These beings are without hearts, without emotion, without feelings, they can only remember what it was like to feel. They stand in the twilight, on the brink of light and darkness, they do not exist. They are Nobody.
Sora's Nobody was a young boy that very much resembled him. However unlike most Nobodies, this one had no memory of his life before he became a Nobody, due to Sora becoming a Heartless for only a small period of time. A group of twelve Nobodies found Sora's double and saw that since he was Sora's other half, he too could use the Keyblade. This was a huge asset to them, so they took him in and gave him a coat and his new name, composed of the letters of Sora's name and an X (like all other Nobodies in the group)... Roxas.
During his first few days in what became Organization XIII, Roxas befriended one of it's members, number VIII, Axel. Axel acted as Roxas' mentor or tutor, to teach him how things were done in the organization.
Roxas eventually figured out that the organization's goal was to capture the hearts that the Heartless have stolen and join them together to complete Kingdom Hearts. If they could accomplish this, they could reclaim their lost hearts and be whole again. However, only the Keyblade is capable of capturing a heart once it has been released from a heartless, so Roxas was the first of organization to accomplish it.
Everyday after Roxas completed his assigned mission, he and Axel went up to the station tower in a place called Twilight Town and ate sea-salt ice cream. Axel was the only person Roxas felt he could trust, and they became the best of friends.
PART TWO:
As Roxas began to learn the ropes and understand his role in Organization XIII, he went day by day, not questioning why he was helping the organization or even if he should. One day a meeting was called to welcome a new member to the group, number XIV, Xion. Roxas felt something in him suddenly change as he saw her. Her face was shrouded by her hood and she never spoke, but she was also one of the Keyblade's chosen ones.
She had no contact with any of the other members for days until she was assigned to work with Roxas on her first mission. She fought quite well, but still spoke nothing to Roxas the whole time. As they wrapped up their mission, Roxas told Xion to RTC (return to the castle) and that he had to go meet up with Axel. And she spoke for the first time, her first words being "Roxas...thats your name...right?" Roxas was shocked to hear this and responded as such. Roxas couldn't put his finger on it, but there was something special about her.
During this period of time, Axel and several of the organization's other members were sent on an assignment toa place called Castle Oblivion for a few days (covering the events of Chain of Memories), however, all of them were killed. But Roxas and Xion were not told of why the others were sent there or how they all died, not even Axel, who now new something he wasn't telling Roxas (about Sora and the fact that he is Roxas' real half).
A couple days after befriending Xion, Sora had entered Castle Oblivion and his memories were being tampered with, resulting in Roxas falling ill and into a coma for several weeks, in which Sora's memories started to connect with his. Only days after Roxas woke up, Axel returned, reporting that he was the only survivor. At the same time, Roxas started having dreams about Sora and his friends, and also gained a large curiosity about why he is helping the organization and why he wields the keyblade.
As time wore on, Roxas was partnered with Xion many times and they began to become friends. She also revealed her face to him (which greatly resembles that of Kairi's.) Soon, all three of them, Roxas, Axel and Xion all went up to the tower and ate ice cream every day.
Before long, Xion was sent on a mission that she failed. A man had been walking around dressed as one of the organization and she was sent to stop him. The impostor turned out to be Riku. At this point, the restoration of Sora's memories had begun and come to a stand-still since the rest of his memories were no where to be found. DiZ had Riku investigate the Organization to find the cause. Riku defeated Xion, hence she was scolded by Siax, the organization member that gave out orders and she ran away without telling anyone, not even Roxas. Roxas was then given the mission of tracking her down.
PART THREE:
Wile she was away, Xion figured out what she was, something that Axel also had know for a wile.
Xion was never really a person, she was a puppet. A puppet created by Xemnas the organization's leader.
The goal was to create a whole line puppets, based off of Sora and Roxas' data that were capable of wielding Keyblades, to increase the productivity of capturing hearts and hasten the completion of Kingdom Hearts.
Xion was the first of the line, the prototype, hence her name. (Xion = No.1)
Riku found her again and told her about what happened to Sora and that some of his memories found their way into her. Sora's strongest memory was of Kairi, hence Xion's resemblance to her. He told her that she could come with him right then and they could put Sora's memory back. However, she needed time to think.
She eventually came to the decision that she had to give Sora's memories back, but on her way to find Riku, Roxas had finally found her. He tried to get her to come back with him, but she refused. Before anything else could be said, Axel found them and began fighting Xion. Roxas was extremely confused and yelled "Stop!"
In her distraction, Axel knocked her out and immediately disappeared with her into a portal.
Roxas went back to the castle, but nobody, not even Axel would give him the answers he sought, so in his anger and confusion, he left the organization. He went to the station tower once more and thought about everything, confused and sad, then Xion came to him. Xemnas had realized that Roxas was to much of a reliability and reprogrammed Xion to kill and absorb Roxas.
She engaged and fought Roxas, but was defeated. As soon as the battle was over, Xion began to fade, since she was only a blank puppet, made from Sora's memories, the memories began to escape her body, and Roxas began to forget about her. She died peacefully in his arms with one final request: that Roxas free all of the hearts they had captured in Kingdom Hearts.
Roxas then proceeded to do so. But on his way there, was confronted by Riku. Roxas fought him in sheer anger and confusion, Riku put up a decent fight, but it was clear that Roxas was more powerful, so Riku released all of the darkness in his heart and became a look-a-like of Ansem. He briefly defeated Roxas, then he and DiZ wiped his memory of Organization XIII and inserted him into a digital version of Twilight Town, with a fake life and fake friends until the process of restoring Sora's memory could be completed.
Xions voice rang through Roxas' head before his memory was erased: "Roxas, don't worry. You'll forget me, but the memories themselves will never go away. Memories of you and me will always be together, forever, inside him. (referring to Sora)"
The 358 days of Roxas' life were filled with the happiness that Axel and Xion gave him. And now he lives his final days with friends he never actually had, in a life he never actually lived. He only has 7 days left before his summer vacation...is over.
